My name is Andrew Richards, and I got into portable power the same way most people do—by needing it.

Back in 2019, a power outage at home made me realize I had no real backup solution. I started with an entry-level unit like the Jackery Explorer 240 portable power station, which worked for small devices but wasn’t enough for essentials like a refrigerator.

Over the next few years, I upgraded and tested more capable systems, including models similar to the Jackery Explorer 1000 portable power station and later the EcoFlow Delta series portable power station. Through trial and error, I learned what actually matters—capacity, real runtime, and choosing the right setup for specific needs.

That experience is what led me to create PowerStationPick.

I don’t focus on specs alone. I focus on real-world use—what works during a blackout, what’s practical for an apartment, and what makes sense for everyday situations.

I’m not a professional reviewer—just someone who has spent years figuring this out firsthand and sharing what actually works.
